As a polyphia fan I understand that it goes over most people's heads. I don't think everyone can hear or enjoy the melody in their playing if they're not as musically inclined or have a preference for this sort of thing. Hence the reason why they're mostly enjoyed and appreciated by musicians.

Hope they didn't kill the kick tone in the remaster. This was always my go to album for moving some air with my woofers. The kick always had that thin punch but also a nearly overpowering undertone.

I dont really like the beep boop underneath everything, specially during the lyrics. feels weird to me. I feel the lyrics in the verses feel unfinished. (which makes sense) Meaning, I feel if they chose this song to go foward, I would have done a pass over on the lyrics throughout other than the chorus. It doesnt feel ready. (because it wasnt). And every time i listen to it, thats all I can think of. The chorus to me, feels like it would have been a massive hit. I think it feels absolutely great. Really really great. To me, it's worth listening to the song just for it. The beggining of the "interlude" i guess? feels a bit weird and off but its quite short. Not a fan. but the "I try to keep this pain" screaming section right after is really good imo. And love how it goes back to the chorus.

"Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are DEVO!" was a big album when I was in college in the late 70's and early 80's, and I still have my copy on vinyl, and it still plays well. "Come Back Johnee" and their cover of "(I Can't get No) Satisfaction" were very popular, along with good ol' "Uncontrollable Urge".

I am 52 years old, just got back from Vegas Sick New World just to see these guys (and many other awesome bands) . Saw them in LA last year. The sounds they make just make my brain happy. They are all great musicians and have about a 12 year history and Tim is a pretty cool dude. Progression you either fight it or accept it. I grew up with punk ska reggae groove, and this is just the next phase. Dig em.
